Inspired by 16th century sailors who used to use bay leaves as a type of cologne, this Superior Bay Rum recipe was penned in 1889.  The creator wrote: “This is without question considerably stronger than the majority of bay rums that are sold. This recipe makes a bay rum that is truly superb, to use after shampooing or shaving … It would be difficult to find its superior.”
