Pomatum is a perfumed ointment used for the hair, face, and skin. Scented Bergamot Hair Pomatum is based on a recipe entitled “To Make Pomatum” from 1739. This blend of wax, spermaceti, and almond oil has been used for over 300 years with minor changes, and Bergamot is documented to have been a very popular, versatile fragrance since at least the mid-18th century.
