Hans Offringa is an established bilingual author and media expert who has been writing and presenting about whisky for over 30 years. He is a Keeper of the Quaich, Lifetime International Ambassador of the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, Honorary Ambassador of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) and Patron of the Whisky Festival North Netherlands (WFNN). For his book Bourbon & Blues he received the title of Kentucky Colonel, the highest award to be bestowed upon a citizen by the state of Kentucky.

He is also writes for Whisky Magazine, American Whisky, and The Charleston Mercury. Furthermore he lectures at the International Whisky School in Groningen, the Netherlands, and serves as Director on the Advisory Board of The Council of Whiskey Masters.
