This dry shampoo is an original recipe from 1933 and, unlike hair powder, is meant to be brushed out. Original directions read: "Apply and rub vigorously into the roots of the hair. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rub the scalp again and shake the excess off. The hair must be then be brushed with a stiff-bristled brush until every trace of shampoo has vanished." Brilliantine is a hair-grooming product intended to soften hair, including beards and mustaches, and give it a glossy, well-groomed appearance. It was created at the turn of the 20th century by French perfumer Édouard Pinaud. This recipe is an original from 1936. Traditional Bay Rum scent. Note: This product will separate.
