Camphor was used in Ancient Sumatra to treat sprains, swellings, and inflammation. In the 18th century, camphor was used to treat Mania. By the 19-20th centuries they started making a product called Camphor Ice, which was a salve and was used to treat many ailments topically.

This recipe is from 1901.

Useful in treating: dermatitis, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, cracked skin, sore muscles, chapped lips, wind burn, dry heels, chest cold, razor burn, insect bites, sunburns, etc.
